Witness a food shoot produced for a real client. Steven Elphick will be taking a food shoot from concept to final image sharing experiences, insights and finishing techniques along the way. The production crew will include food stylist Carol Brown and an assistant as well. Steve will be working with the P 65+ and Capture One 5 PRO sharing his tips, tricks and techniques to reduce retouching and produce better work, in less time. With over 11 years of experience using Phase One backs and Capture One software, Steve has gained extensive insights into the best techniques for digital food photography. Questions and discussion are welcomed! Due to the constraints of a real studio shoot, seating is limited. Note: This event is being video taped for a future project. Toronto’s highest quality stochastic printers will be joining Steve in discussing the best file delivery and preparation techniques for stochastic printing, extensively used by the food industry. |

| About Steve Elphick - Born in Toronto Canada, Steven attended both Ryerson Polytechnical Institute and Sheridan College. Starting in 1976 as a commercial photographer, he explored many disciplines including fashion, still life and location. A strong appreciation of wine and food has evolved into a career of food, wine and landscape photography evoking a core of truth and beauty. His food clients include HBC, General Mills, Olivieri and many more. His most recent book project “The Wine Atlas of Canada” was authored by Tony Aspler and published by Random House in 2007. Steven has won numerous Applied Arts Magazine awards and has had several solo shows. His work has been well represented in large exhibitions at The Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto and the Museum of Civilization in Gatineau, Quebec. | ||||||||
